Characteristics of the course of study

Consist in the designing of an efficient, pleasant, and innovative environment.
The Course in Decoration - Interior design provides the cultural knowledge and specific skills to work in interior design. The first year of studies, shared with the Decoration - Artistic course, offers a series of teachings that, in the logic of construction of the path, place the student concerning the decorative skills that every interior designer trained in an academic environment must possess: materials, design, artistic anatomy understood as ergonomics of man inserted in the background, are some of the skills that will allow the student to approach in the following years of the course, the teaching of the classes and the countless projects proposed within them following not only an artistic taste but also the practicality that every environment requires so that it is comfortable to live it. The student will be able to create environments taking into account their final use through the conscious study of light, furniture, colors, and structural elements fundamental for these purposes.

Course Goals

The Interior design course ensures skills and knowledge intended to train professional figures operating in the field of interior design, based on the mastery of methods, materials, and artistic techniques, as well as on adequate knowledge and the practice of design methodologies concerning the coherent and updated use of the tools of visual representation and decorative intervention in public and private contexts. To this end, skills are developed in the creative use of materials for artistic practice, technical tools of survey and architectural drawing, and visual representation, with specific reference to the aesthetic management of space and the design of environments.

The Decoration - Interior design course trains professional interior designers to work in architecture and design studios, specialized companies, fairs, and public and private entities involved in creating events. They will also be able to carry out the freelance profession of Designer and Decorator.
