Characteristics of the course of study

The second level course in Art Communication and Didactics trains professionals with knowledge of museums' complex world and functional skills for the enhancement of specific cultural realities, especially in the curatorial field. The teaching methodology involves the study and analysis of contemporary museum systems and the new and constant search for new forms of communication and enhancement: during the course, the student will measure with museums, galleries, real and virtual contemporary exhibition spaces. The student will manage the educational project throughout the course and in its fundamental stages: conception, implementation, and communication.

Course Goals

The course in Communication and teaching of art aims to make the student acquire a broader and more complete vision of planning a didactic path in the museum-artistic field, especially in the contemporary field. The student will design to create itineraries for museums, foundations, galleries, and the training will aim to ensure adequate mastery of communication techniques and the acquisition of professional skills essential for communicating and relating to the work of art.

The professional profile outgoing of the two-year period of Communication and teaching of art is that of a museum didactic expert and artistic communication designer with particular attention to multimedia technologies. The professional is able to devise, plan and coordinate museum educational paths cultural and artistic events for public and private structures; it is also able to create and coordinate educational workshops using multimedia resources. The experts trained in the two-year specialist period can carry out professional activities in various public and private fields as specialists; as professionals, they can operate independently, with particular regard to the communicative aspect, in the multiple sectors of cultural heritage, both in the care of artistic events and in the organization of territorial networks or museum systems on the national and European territory.
