Characteristics of the course of study

The aim of the course is to ensure an adequate mastery of communication methods and techniques and enhancement in order to intervene with specific skills in all activities and processes aimed at improving the usability, knowledge and understanding of contemporary cultural heritage, in particular of the artistic patrimony of proximity. An integral part of the training path is represented by the carrying out of internships or internships at structures responsible for the management of cultural heritage and workshops for the complete exercise of the skills and knowledge acquired in the individual years of travel.

Course Goals

The course aims to train professionals in the field of cultural heritage, with specific skills related to the management, promotion and enhancement of the artistic heritage, with particular attention to the contemporary one. This figure is able to recognize what is and what the cultural asset is based on, knows how to manage it in a given context and knows how to communicate it in order to enhance it. At the cultural basis of this knowledge, there is therefore a consolidated knowledge of the history of contemporary art and architecture. At the same time, the figure is able to autonomously and fluently master the English language which, in the years of training, is specifically addressed on the basis of linguistic practice in the field of artistic communication. Moreover, particular attention is given to the possibility for the student in training to be able to benefit from the experience of internships from the first year of the three-year period and of intensive workshops carried out at the end of each academic year with the aim of building mini-projects that allow to put into practice the knowledge acquired during the year.

The outgoing professional profile is the cultural operator (both in the public and in the private sector) able to work flexibly - independently or in collaboration with the relevant officials - in the dissemination and communication of contemporary artistic production, with particular reference to organization and set-up of artistic events, curating, preparation of communication supports for artistic events related to contemporaneity, especially concerning the cultural heritage of territorial proximity. An integral part of the training is represented by the carrying out of traineeships or internships at structures responsible for the management of cultural heritage and workshops for the complete exercise of the skills and knowledge acquired in the individual years of the course.
