SantaGiulia Academy with ITS Machina Lonati goes to Cidneon 2019

For the second year in a row the Academy of Fine Arts SantaGiulia of Brescia participates in CidneON, the International Lights Festival, which confirms as location our Castle from 8th to 16th February 2019.

In the 2019 edition, Accademia SantaGiulia collaborates with ITS Machina Lonati, a Fashion School. So together they will present an installation that combines fashion, design and light, creating a haute couture catwalk.

Starting from the common inspiration based on the icons of Italian fashion, the students have interpreted and worked on the theme in different ways, combining it with the world of nature, a conductive thread that unites the five artistic creations composing the installation. The appeals of algae and botanical elements, cleverly illuminated, will help to make the creations highly suggestive and exciting.

The experimentation between the two Brescian institutions Hdemia SantaGiulia and ITS Machina Lonati is happening for the first time in this project. 
The two Schools have collaborated on different creative levels, so it has given the opportunity to ITS Machina Lonati students to work on an artistic fashion project and experiment different design dimensions while it has given to the students of the Accademia SantaGiulia to give concreteness and aesthetic taste through the realization of this real urban scenography respecting the landscape.

The installation with 5 iconic dresses is created by the students of the SantaGiulia Academy and ITS Machina Lonati, coordinated by the teachers Stefano Mazzanti, Mauro Gasperi and Mirella Gorati.
