Suburbs: a study about

Suburbs: a study about.
It is not just an exhibition but a international action research project by SantaGiulia Fine Arts Academy, coordinated with the Academy's Direction and which is part of the policies and projects of internationalization of this Academy.
The exhibition with the care of teachers Paolo Sacchini and Massimo Tantardini in collaboration with Province of Brescia Events Foundation will take place at "Palazzo Martinengo Cesaresco Novarino" in Brescia from 2019 4th to 27th October.

The Suburbs exhibition brings together over 150 works made by students with different techniques, including photographs, videos, graphics, drawings and visual works. The reading of the suburbs and its research project involved five European and one non-European Academy and University. Among the international realities some of the historical partners of the Erasmus+ Program and other institutions involved following the meetings held in Philadelphia in 2018 and in Washington in 2019 on the occasion of participation in the NAFSA (Association of International Educators).

You can see the works of the students of the SantaGiulia Fine Arts Academy, of the École Supérieure des Arts Saint-Luc (Brussels, Belgium), of the Escuela de Arte y Superior de Diseño de Murcia (Murcia, Spain) of the Escuela De Arte Y Superior De Diseño Gran Canaria (Canary Islands, Spain) of the Uniwersytet Warminsko Mazurski Wolsztynie (Olsztyn, Poland), of the Univeriytet Zielonogórsky (Zielona Góra, Poland) and of Silpakorn University (Bangkok, Thailand).

The exhibition, in search of a suburban world point of view by SantaGiulia Fine Arts Academy, focuses public attention on the reflections around the concept of Periphery, posing the problem of how to realign centers, suburbs and provinces [...] The areas outside from the center they can no longer be anything other than the real life space of individuals.
Suburbs: a study about, will not represent the final part of the Research and Action Project, but the starting point for thinking about peripheral urban areas no longer as an extra moenia but to the natural territory for the future development of the center / centers.
