Characteristics of the course of study
The New Media Communication course aims to offer an adequate competence in the usage of methods and techniques in the communication and artistic research especially focused on the audiovisual communication. The labs activities, will be managed and organized with a strict connection to the concrete dynamics of the local but also national medium companies, in synergy with publishers and newspapers editorials, radio, TV and web sites. In particular, during the first year students will examine in depth all the aspects of advanced design and realization of traditional audiovisuals (writing, takes, direction, sound, editing), the journalism activity and the comprehension of contemporary cultural archetypes. The second year of studying instead, will be dedicated to the realization of particular kind of audiovisual, the crossmedium production and communication and the communication ethics.

The outbound professional figure is an artist with marked attitudes in communication, able to compare him/herself and to operate by the usage of the main medium and multimedia languages, typical of the digital communication. Beyond the possibility to participate to experimental research projects, the student will acquire basic competences to work in the production of format TV, audiovisual products for information and entertainment, web sites and their contents, multimedia installations for museums and expositive spaces. This activity will be in a cultural consciousness thanks to the knowledges and competences not just related to its role of product, but taking in consideration its social, economics and ethics aspects.
