On days 23, 24 and 25 March 2017, the Catholic University of Brescia will host the conference "Education and Development for peace between peoples".
More than thirty international speakers will debate beginning with the Encyclical Populorum Progressio of Paul VI, who in 1967 called attention to the dramatic problems of developing countries. The teachings contained in it were still present but recent and complex problems require new solutions; experts analyze today's socio-cultural and global challenges scenarios, they will design together international cooperation and governance; finally produce a paper that focuses on education, the only tool that can foster the development of peoples and peace.
The meeting is organized by the Catholic University of the Sacred Heart, Academy SantaGiulia of Brescia, Lumsa Rome, Sophia of Loppiano (FI), under the patronage of the Congregation for Catholic Education of the Holy See.
