A tribute for those on the front lines

Art stimulates and arouses processes, it carries a meaning that goes beyond the visual value. SantaGiulia Academy firmly affirms and tries to convey to its students these concepts.

How?
Involving them in the world of current affairs with projects that aim to positively impact their reference context and society.

With these premises, the Coordinator of the Degree Course in Graphics and Communication and Professor of Phenomenology of the Image, Professor Massimo Tantardini, proposed to the students a project with the aim of creating a visual, a poster, intended for healthcare professionals.

The aim of the project? To thank the health, socio-health and volunteer staff who found themselves facing a frontline emergency; and so it is that for more than a month now, their professional and non-professional lives have changed.

The project, titled #inprimalinea, will be launched in local and national newspapers on Sunday, the 26th of April 2020.

The adhesion of the students was beyond all expectations: more than 400 students have sent their proposals, aware of the fact that, even in the most difficult situations, creativity moves and produces beauty and solidarity through images.

The project created by the third year student of the degree course in Graphics, Elena Gandossi, was chosen to represent the project as a whole, representing a health worker who supports, with all of herself, a red line that symbolizes the emergency health, not only that of today, but that of the whole Health System in its complexity.
